The results of the research showed that there is some contamination of the spring water in terms of presence lead and cadmium. The transboundary research experience has enabled me to learn new methods of water quality control such as the use of micro plasma atomic absorption that will go a long way in enhancing my carrier. It has made me to have a global perspective in terms of research, social interaction and networking. It is hoped that the work will serve as a base line for geothermal water quality control that will improve geothermal development in Rwanda in terms of diversified utilization which can mitigate the effects of climate change and reduce over reliance on carbon based fuels. The various underutilized geothermal resources can spur economic growth and thus help in the achievement of sustainable development goals.Rwanda has well organized systems in many sectors including transport, security, education and agriculture which makes it a preferable destination for many investors. This is a strength that can be emulated by many developing economies for rapid economic development.
